At the northern end of the Bloomfield Track or a scenic drive south from Coooktown via Rossville and Ayton, the Bana Yirriji Art and Cultural Centre is located on the Bloomfield River just near the Wujal Wujal Waterfall.
The art centre supports the Wujal Wujal Community. The local Wujal Wujal artists, Carmel Haines, Cedric (Sam) Friday, Faron Nunn, Florence Williams, Jarrett Bassani, Lexton Nandy and Maurice Gibson come from three traditional clan groups, the Yalanji, Nyungkul and Jalunji people.
